UNSW Founders in the news

It’s been a big few weeks in the news for us and our portfolio companies. Making headlines across national and international media were our programs Climate 10x and the Peter Farrell Cup, plus portfolio company and SynBio 10x alum Psylo.

Climate 10x program manager Eleni Assargiotis appeared on Startup Daily TV to discuss the first cohort of five companies who shared $580,000 worth of funding thanks to UNSW Founders’ partnership with Virescent Ventures, on behalf of the Clean Energy Finance Corporation. Watch the interview here.

Overnight Success has covered the finals night of The Peter Farrell Cup. The publication spoke to Director of Entrepreneurship at UNSW David Burt and PFC winner, Jesse Waller who co-founded ‘Little Steps’. Read the article here.

Psylo co-founder Josh Ismin took to the stage for TEDxSydney. The CEO of SynBio 10x alum Psylo presented his talk Next-Generation Psychedelics, Without the Hallucinations? He believes we are at the Tipping Point when it comes to psychedelics to treat mental illness, but thinks the supervised "assisted therapy" model will lack the ability to scale. Watch Josh’s TED talk here.
