About UNSW Founders
UNSW Founders is the university’s hub for entrepreneurship. Since 2015, we’ve supported 200+ startups each year, provided skills training to 25,000+ students, staff and alumni, and delivered 10,000+ coaching sessions.

What is the Student Ambassador Program (SAP)?
A program empowering UNSW students to join Australia’s most entrepreneurial campus through hands on events, community activations, and outreach.

Roles you can apply for
Student Ambassador (SA)
The core of the program. You’ll help deliver events, activations and engagement across campus.
You’ll be good at this if you:
enjoy talking to people
like helping & supporting events
want to get involved in the startup community
You will be placed into Events, Marketing & Communications, or Outreach team based on your interests and experience.
Chief Student Entrepreneur (CSE)
For experienced student startup founders. You’ll represent UNSW Founders at events and lead student engagement initiatives.
(No separate application, CSEs are selected from the ambassador pool.)

To apply, you must be:
A current UNSW student in 2026
Able to commit to all Ambassador activities throughout 2026.
Able to attend the group interview in early March and Training Day on 21 March.
Keen to join one of our teams: Events, Marketing & Comms, or Outreach.
Interested in entrepreneurship, student engagement, or community building.

Around 1–2 activities per week (Minimum 20 hours per term).
Ambassadors must be able to commit to all program activities throughout 2026, including on-campus activations, event support and weekly team tasks. The workload is flexible and designed around student schedules.

Relevant experience is preferred but not compulsory.
We look for students who are curious, proactive and excited about events, marketing, outreach or entrepreneurship.

The Student Ambassador role is volunteer based but offer extensive opportunities to grow.

The program runs from Term 1 to Term 3 2026. Applications for the 2026 cohort close on 26 February 2026.
Additional rounds may open throughout the year depending on team needs. -
Student Ambassador
A volunteer role open to any UNSW student.
Supports events, activations, workshops and student engagement.
Works in one of three teams: Events, Marketing & Comms, or Outreach.
Focus is on building experience, learning skills and representing Founders on campus.
No experience needed, it's the entry point into the ecosystem.
Chief Student Entrepreneur (CSE)
A leadership position for students who already have a startup or are actively building one.
Represents UNSW Founders at major events, panels, media opportunities and internal leadership meetings.
Works closely with the Founders team on strategy, entrepreneurship engagement and student founder advocacy.
Acts as a role model for the ambassador cohort and wider student community.
Selected through a separate process; only a small number of CSEs are appointed each year.

Yes. On the application form, you can indicate if you’d like to be considered for the CSE role. To be considered for the CSE roles, you must have a current startup of your own.
