That’s why we’ve launched the Chief Student Entrepreneur role – a position designed to amplify the impact of students who are leading the charge in our student community.
The Chief Student Entrepreneur is a standout student who embodies the entrepreneurial spirit, inspiring others to take action, think creatively, and drive innovation on campus.
This role is about giving our emerging founders the platform they need to connect, collaborate, and continue building the future. By becoming the Chief Student Entrepreneur, you'll join a community of like-minded individuals who are making a tangible impact, while also gaining invaluable leadership experience that will last a lifetime.
We know that there’s not just one amazing entrepreneurial student at UNSW, so this role is supported by an advisory board and sub committee of other entrepreneurial students and startup founders within the community.

This role champions student entrepreneurship, acting as an ambassador for UNSW Founders and a leader in the startup community.
As the Chief Entrepreneur, you will:
Inspire Students to explore entrepreneurship
Engage with UNSW Founders programs and events
Advocate for startups and innovation on campus
Mentor aspiring founders

The Chief Student Entrepreneur will serve as an ambassador for the university's entrepreneurial community. Their responsibilities will include:
Public Engagement:
Representing UNSW Founders at entrepreneurial events to inspire, encourage other students to explore their own ventures.
Advocacy:
Actively promoting and advocating for the importance and potential of entrepreneurship within the university.
Peer Mentoring:
Providing guidance and to aspiring student entrepreneurs on how they can get involved on campus and share their own experience and insights.

The Chief Student Entrepreneur is a current UNSW student passionate about startups, entrepreneurship and be actively building their own company.
The qualities we look for include:
We’re looking for a current UNSW student (Undergrad, Postgrad, or HDR) who is:
An active startup founder or entrepreneur
A confident communicator and leader
Passionate about innovation and community building
Reliable, adaptable, and proactive

Entrepreneurial Impact: A track record of founding or contributing to a startup or innovative project
Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead and work with peers to foster innovation.
Community Engagement: Active involvement in UNSW Founders and the student startup ecosystem
