CounterCurrent is a UNSW spin-out company that is developing the world’s first generative AI ocean forecasting system for ships. Our forecasts use proprietary AI technology, satellite data, and autonomous onboard sensors to provide real-time hyperlocal forecasts for the maritime industry to deliver fuel efficient routing, safety at sea, and asset optimisation.

Achievements:

2 paid customers (pre-product); 1 ongoing paid pilot and 4 more paid pilots inbound. - Received ~$1M in non-dilutive funding from Australian Economic Accelerator and Trailblazer for Renewables & Clean Energy. - Awarded >$300k in AI compute resources from Amazon Web Services and NVIDIA grants
