Bearhug Pallet Wraps

Scaling reusable pallet wrapping with automation hardware and return systems.

Bearhug is working to eliminate the use of plastic pallet wrap (which accounts for 1.5% of global plastic waste) by building the automation and return systems required for reusable pallet wrapping to be implemented at scale. Bearhug's automated hardware is on track to wrap pallets 2x faster than current pallet wrapping hardware, and reduce pallet wrapping expense by up to 90%. Bearhug are launching in the EU from Nov '25 as the PPWR (regulation) is mandating the switch to reusable pallet wrapping in all EU member states.

Achievements:

140 customers in Australia/US, 15 tonnes of soft plastic avoided, trial of the return system is underway with Coca-Cola and Metcash
