If you identify as a woman, are UNSW student, staff, or alumni, and you’re even a little bit interested in entrepreneurship and innovation then read on! Launched in 2018, the UNSW Founders New Wave program is designed to help early-stage startups turn their ideas into successful businesses. The FREE program provides a range of benefits to participants, including access to funding, mentorship, and business resources. Applications for New Wave Cohort A (March-April) are NOW OPEN until midnight 26 Feb! Here are the top 5 reasons why you should apply:
Funding: New Wave offers more than $10k worth of prizes to each cohort! Winners have gone on to use their winnings to help turn their ideas into successful businesses - just look at startups like givvable, Luksea and AmpleFolk.
Mentorship: Another key benefit of the program is access to a network of experienced mentors. Participants in the program are introduced to industry experts who can provide guidance and support as they grow their businesses.
Business Resources: The program provides startups with access to a range of business resources, including design thinking, marketing, and branding support.
