UNSW Founders 2022 10x Accelerator Demo Day showcases next herd of unicorns to investors

Introducing the next herd of unicorns! On Tuesday, November 22, 19 startups pitched to more than 100 investors at a sold-out Demo Day event at The ivy.

Demo Day was the culmination of a 10-week accelerator program designed to get founders investment ready. Open to high-potential tech-enabled startups with a UNSW student, staff, or alumni co-founder, each team received $20,000 in seed funding as a SAFE agreement.

Since 2018, our 10x accelerators have helped more than 70 companies. This year, UNSW has invested $320k into our 10x startups including six teams who participated in our first-ever 10x SynBio accelerator.

“UNSW was originally founded to meet Australia’s growing need for technology professionals,” says UNSW Founders Director of Entrepreneurship. “While we’ve since grown into a comprehensive university, we’ve retained in our DNA the belief that the value of an idea is defined by how it is put into practice. It’s been five years since UNSW first launched the idea of the 10x Accelerator, and over these years we have created what is now Australia’s most comprehensive university entrepreneurship program.”
