Baxter IP Startup
Brand Design Award
A new award for very early-stage UNSW startups
Learn more about the opportunity below 👇
The Award
The Baxter IP University Startup Brand Awards is a new programme designed specifically for university-based founders and teams who are still in the pre-capital-raising phase, before you pitch to investors, build your MVP, or go to market.
It recognises the power of strong branding right from the very beginning.
We believe getting the brand right early is not a luxury, it is a strategic imperative. And we know that cost is often the reason early-stage university teams delay protection. This awards programme removes that barrier.
The winning startup receives a complete Australian trade mark application package at no cost, so the most innovative university teams can protect their clever brand identity from day one.
This is a genuine opportunity to turn your smart idea into a protected, ownable brand filing, completely free of charge for the winner.

Entrants are invited to submit a brand, either a word mark (your brand name), a logo, or both, that is the most clever according to three clear criteria.
Important: we are not judging full get-up, packaging, website design, or marketing collateral at this stage. We are assessing only the core brand identity itself, the name and/or mark you will trade as.
The quality of the underlying idea matters more than production value.
