  1. "Founders who talk less do better”

  2. Sign up for hackathons! Show up to events where potential team members could be.

  3. For every meeting you have with someone, ask for 2 more introductions/ connections.

  4. Culture is an extension of leadership. Startup founders and leaders need to always reflect on what they reward and what they punish.

  5. The first 10 people you hire will impact the next 1,000 - new starter impressions really matter.

  6. Who invests in your business needs to align with your vision. Prioritise investors that have operated before and look for those who have funded and built billion-dollar companies if that’s your ambition.

  7. Monthly investor updates are essential. Use more numbers and fewer words.

  8. Raising capital is a full-time job when you do it. It typically takes three months.

  9. You know when you need breaks. Take them when you need them.

  10. Always raise more than you need!
