givvable lands grant to commercialise innovative supplier sustainability
UNSW Founders’ start-up givvable has been given a financial boost, winning over $550K from the Federal Government to help commercialise its innovative technology. It's a major victory for givvable's ambitious plan to help every business, everywhere demonstrate their sustainability credentials
Sydney-based givvable, which plans to use the funds to further develop its AI-powered sustainability data infrastructure, joins fellow UNSW Founders’ startup SDIP Innovation in winning the Accelerating Commercialisation grant, sharing in more than $12.2M to commercialise and take their ideas to the world.
The Accelerating Commercialisation grants are part of the government’s Entrepreneurs’ Program designed to help Australian companies grow, commercialise innovations and gain further investments to enter new domestic and international markets.
givvable’s grant of $557,425 will help commercialise its supplier sustainability data platform, which is designed to help businesses engage partners and vendors advancing their sustainability objectives.
A 10x accelerator alumni, givvable also recently completed the UNSW Founders New Wave U.S Ready Bootcamp, a Sydney-based initiative backed by the U.S Consulates & Embassy in October 2021. It now plans to fast-track platform development and scale abroad alongside existing and new customers with global operations.
givvable’s Cofounder & Director Frances Atkins said, “We are delighted with this outcome. It reflects the novelty and scalability of givvable’s platform and we look forward to supporting more & more businesses with the digital tools they need to operate more sustainably”.
