Entrepreneur-in-Residence Spotlight 🔦 Anna Trybocka
At UNSW Founders, we are incredibly fortunate to have a team of Entrepreneurs-in-Residence supporting our startups through their innovation journey. In this series, we’ll be showcasing each of our Entrepreneurs-in-Residence, chatting to them about why they love mentoring up-and-coming talent and the lessons they’ve learnt along the way.
This week, we chatted to Anna Trybocka, Founding Partner and CEO of CrescoData, and a leader in the technology commercialisation space.
Anna Trybocka is an experienced leader in the global product and technology commercial space and comes to UNSW Founders as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence with 20 years' experience in B2C and B2B technology, media, telecoms, publishing and monetisation.

With this wealth of experience, Anna now joins UNSW Founders as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence, and recently shared with us why she enjoys working with early-stage startups on maximising their potential.
Through her role as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Anna’s is keen to lead with inspiration, offering support and advice by fostering relevant connections, and acting as an experienced sounding board to bounce ideas off. She is also passionate about helping startups move through, what she calls, ‘The Trough of Despair’. Anna also has a focus on practical advice, especially narrowing in on how to approach each stage in the business from idea to execution.
“I really enjoy being around the drive and passion of founders. I am passionate about innovation, and I enjoy problem solving.”
“Everyone goes through ‘The Trough of Despair’ and the ability to keep going during adversity is what makes you a success,” Anna shared with us.
“You are not alone,” Anna says, “everyone goes through a similar journey and it's always helpful to have a support group of likeminded people that have had similar experiences that you can confide in or bounce ideas off.”
“Be brave, take risks and believe in yourself. Every day is a new day and start each day afresh! Always try and put things into perspective don't worry about things that haven't happened!”
