Available course integrations

In 2022, lecturers and course convenors can request two of the below 2-hour live workshops, plus a Shark Tank, to integrate into their course. Delivery timeframes are outlined below. We are optimistic that we can run these workshops in person at the Michael Crouch Innovation Centre, but can offer them online where the tutorial group is an online only tutorial group.

During this workshop students will be guided through the sections of the Lean Canvas following a real life business idea example. This workshop is best suited to students who are forming a solution to a problem as part of their course work.

During this workshop students will learn the best practice tips for communicating an idea in a short amount of time. Students will learn how to capture an audiences' attention, how to structure their message and lead to intended outcomes. Students will craft a pitch/presentation opening statement and practice speaking to the group and get feedback. This workshop can be offered as a live workshop or as a complete-in-your-own time remote learning module.

Shark Tank (Week 10)

A take-off of the popular TV show, students will pitch their idea to their peers and a judging panel who will be scoring students' pitches or presentations against a rubric or pitch criteria. A Shark Tank pushes students out of their comfort zone and offers the valuable experience of public speaking and pitching in a friendly, yet more formalised setting.
